This day trip starts as you leave your riad or hotel early in the morning with your driver/guide. Across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest in Morocco, enjoy panoramic views of the High Atlas and the beautiful road through mountain scenery. Drive through the Ounila Valley, which offers views of the rich green valleys, slopes and astonishing colourful hillsides. Lunch will be on the road or at Ait Benhaddou. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, setting for more than 20 movies and an important spot on the caravan route through which traders brought slaves, gold and ivory from Sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech. Walk the narrow streets of the Kasbah, an ancient place of magic and beauty with its typical Moroccan architecture. Drive back to Marrakech via a different route and arrive at your hotel by early evening.
